Our Story

Sew Scrumptious Fabrics was founded in 2013 and is owned and run by me, Louise.  A huge fabric addict who loves sewing and all things fabric related.

I'm ably assisted by Lel who helps cut and pack the fabric orders and Rachel who designs some of our tutorials and helps film our YouTube videos. Its her hands you can spot in the videos!

After years of buying fabrics for my own sewing business, I decided to take the plunge and start my own online fabric shop. I wanted to bring together some of the quirky and contemporary quilting fabrics from the US that I loved using. Fabrics from companies such as Michael Miller, Dear Stella, Ruby Star Society, Art Gallery Fabrics, Riley Blake, Robert Kaufman, Timeless Treasures and Windham that are not widely available in the UK. I also wanted to feature exciting new British designers such as Lewis & Irene, Makower and Dashwood Studio. We now have over 40 fabric manufacturers featured on the website and we send our gorgeous fabrics all over the world.

We also love supporting UK based independent pattern designers and stock a range of gorgeous children's patterns from designers such as Two Stitches, Busy Little Things, Bear In the Hood and Pom Pom Du Monde.

The business has grown massively over the last few years and we have built a huge online crafting community around it. We enjoy hearing about what people are making with our fabrics and love encouraging people to have a go at sewing through the step by step photo Sewing Tutorials tutorials on our Blog and the FREE Pattern Downloads on the website. We have also just launched the Sew Scrumptious You Tube channel to show you just how easy it is to make things with short 'how to' videos for all our tutorials. We are also developing a range of 'Sew Easy' kits to encourage people to try new projects.

We love to hear from our customers. You can keep in touch by signing up to our Newsletter (you get a 10% discount on your next order if you do!) or by following us on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest or YouTube. Please share your photos with us if you make something with our fabrics or patterns or tag us in on Facebook or Instagram.

If you have any ideas or suggestions about how we can make your fabric shopping a better experience or new products that you would like us to stock, then please do contact us and let us know.

Happy Sewing.

Louise x
